Refinishing: Is the process of restoring fiberglass, formica, tile, porcelain bathtubs, sinks, showers, and countertops to a like-new condition.

Here’s how the process works:

1. Cleaning the Surface: 

The process begins with a thorough cleaning to remove soap buildup, scum, dirt, and other contaminants. This prepares the surface for the etching step.

2. Etching:

An acidic solution is applied to remove the original manufacturer’s enamel. This crucial step creates a textured surface that allows the new coatings to adhere securely.

3. Repairing Damage:

Any chips, cracks, or rusted areas are carefully repaired to create a smooth, even surface before the new finish is applied.

4. Masking:

All surrounding areas are carefully masked to prevent overspray and ensure a clean, professional result. Please note: masking tape may pull paint from walls. Any necessary wall touch-ups are the client’s responsibility.

5. Applying the Finish:

Multiple coats of epoxy resin and acrylic are sprayed onto the prepared surface. This final step creates a glossy, durable, like-new finish.

 

• For children, pets, and individuals with respiratory sensitivities, we highly recommend leaving the premises during the work. While not required, they must remain away from the work area while the job is in progress.
• We recommend returning at least 2 hours after the job has been completed.

 

 

• Most tubs, sinks, and showers can be completed in 4–6 hours, though some projects may take longer depending on their condition.
• Once the work is complete, the surface will need 24–48 hours to cure.
• For an additional fee, we can apply a different coating that reduces curing time to just one day.

• Pool or spa resurfacing renews the interior surface of a swimming pool or spa by removing worn material and applying a fresh layer of fiberglass.
• The process includes cleaning the surface, repairing cracks, and sanding or grinding the existing fiberglass or plaster to create a textured surface that allows the new material to bond securely.
• The new finish is created by applying a layer of water- and chemical-resistant resin and fiberglass.

                 

• When a bathtub or shower pan—most commonly fiberglass—has a cracked or damaged floor, water can seep through to the subfloor. This can damage the wood, weaken the floor, and compromise the supports beneath the tub.
• For minor cracks or damage, the area can be reinforced with construction foam, followed by a new layer of resin and fiberglass.
• For major damage, the affected floor section must be removed. The subfloor is then cleaned and filled with cement to create a solid, stable, and durable base that is often stronger than the original.
• Once the cement has cured, a new layer of fiberglass and resin is applied.
• Fiberglass requires 24 hours of curing time. If the floor is also refinished, allow 48 hours.

• A low-profile entrance is created by cutting a section from the side of the bathtub and installing a ready-made kit or a custom fiberglass insert.
• This modification can be completed on nearly any porcelain or fiberglass bathtub.
• The process typically takes 4–6 hours to complete and requires 48 hours to cure.
